Exquisite and artistic bags
I agree with other reviewers that this shape of book is not the easiest to read, but I flattened my copy and put a weight on it to hold it open while working... no big deal. It's what's inside that counts!The 30 exquisite purse and bag designs in the book, shown in full color photographs, are contributed by different artists, and each is extremely unique in its design and method. Several of the purses are knitted, and some are crocheted. Some have strands of beads couched onto fabric. Some are created with peyote stitch or on a bead loom, then sewn together. One is sewn onto a metal purse frame. One I partricularly like has strands of beads glued (using special sticky tape) onto a purchased tote in a gorgeous design. Some are large and shopping-baggish, and others are small amulet bags or clutches. Every one of them is gorgeous, and you will not find anything like them in any store, unless it is an expensive boutique. They look like collectors' items...

I bought the blue/green version (as it was the only one available then). Item arrive quickly and well-packed. It is as described and is an eye catching piece. Love it but received 36 not 48
Don't order from this company as you will get double charged when they mis-count the # of bags they send you. I was shorted 12 bags and they sent out another 12 but charged me for another entire order so I am paying for 96 bags and got 48 with double shipping. Seller doesnt understand emails or business practice. As for the product I was surprised at the value I always need organza bags for tiny gift giving and this is a great solution and a party favor as well; but I will buy from ANOTHER dealer before I ever get jipped by this place; very DISSAPOINTED this dealer can even be entitled as an Amazon seller over charging and screwing up orders like this twice !

You can usually tell the age of a beaded bag based on certain indications such as the size of the beads (bags from the mid-1800's are made with very small, fine beads - about 1,000 beads per square inch). Handmade beaded bags originated about 200 years ago and have been one of the costliest bags ever due to the unique workmanship that had to go into each handbag. Funeral scenes were common on beaded bags in the early 1800's but from 1820 to about 1860, beautiful outdoor scenes, historical landmarks, and romantic interludes were depicted.

I could not find a dress to match the unusual shade of pink so I recycled my White and Black Derby Hat and bought an all white dress. Believe me I saw a few Black and White hats being worn with cream or off white at The Derby. An all white dress was a big switch for me. Everything I wore this year was more white than black with a touch of red on my small handbag. Tote – To carry my theme I found a Dooney Burke White and Black tote that I knew I would use again and again and it looked great with the entire outfit. Actually it is my Mary Frances “Love Affair” beaded bag. This year we were not going to The Kentucky Oaks race so I wanted to wear my Pink hat to the Derby and didn’t want to wear a black dress again. The whites were WHITE in all of my elements. SHOULDER BAG – I learned the last time we went to The Derby, that this size is great for your personal items but nothing else. But this year I added my tote bag too. She was born on Derby Day in Louisville and her doctor raced to the Derby after he deliver her. DRESS – Lace Embroidered White Dress from Cache’. The glasses ended up in the plastic bags that came with the souvenirs I purchased. It the whites don’t match chose a different color or find the accessory that does match. Now even though these pictures make it look as if the whites are a different color, they are not. Then I looked closely and she was carrying a cream colored purse not pure white.
