Beautiful, surprisingly small bag
This is a beautiful bag, as is true with most Kenneth Cole products. It wears very comfortably over my shoulder and stays out of the way as I walk. The look is absolutely awesome. But I was shocked at the small size of the bag. There are some small inside pockets, but the pockets aren't always enough. Considering all of the electronics and accessories that we carry today, this bag may not offer all of the space you require. If you're traveling light, though, this is the bag for you.

Everything you'd ever want in a leather messenger bag
I've been looking for a quality leather messenger bag for the past 6 months, and this bag fits the bill.I'm a visual person and so it was a big leap for me to buy this bag since there was only one picture of the bag. What tipped the scale for me was reading the reviews. Reading the reviews of people who have purchased a product is absolutely invaluable in making the right decisionOn to the product review:The bag is made of quality leather, and uses double stitching. The bag strap is long enough to accommodate a big person, and at about 1.5 inches wide it doesn't get twisted up. The bag does not have a shoulder pad, which I initially thought would be a problem, because messenger bags that I've owned in the past that didn't have a pad had a tendency to dig into my shoulder. Inaccuracies abound in this listing (but the bag is nice)
Much has been said about the quality of this bag in other reviews, so I won't get into that. However, there's a big error with this particular listing, and potential buyers should take note. The photograph for this listing is for an entirely different bag from David King & Co. If you go to the official David King website (ussuitcase.com), and look under "messengers", you'll notice that the photograph above (which looks medium/dark brown) is for the "Distressed North/South Messenger Bag" (SKU: 6111), dimensions 12.5" x 10.5" x 4" . However, the bag that you'll actually receive (which looks nearly black), should you order from this listing, is "Distressed Large, Full Flap Messenger" (SKU: 6153), dimensions 15.5" x 11.5" x 4". This is my first leather laptop bag and I've used backpacks ever since. I just decided go for something different, and professional, and I couldn't be any happier when I got this bag today. Beautiful and Useful
This messenger bag is very high quality made of beautiful brown leather that will look even better with age. The shoulder strap and handle combination make it easier to carry than shoulder strap only bags. The bag has great detail. It's a good size - not too small to handle all of the stuff you need to carry around and not so big that you hurt your back lugging around too much stuff. Lots of room for a laptop, lots of pockets, compartments and pouches to organize all of your paraphernalia. It's easy open and close. It is an excellent value for the price it was offered for at Amazon.

More than you could ask for in a messenger bag
When it comes to men and "bags", there is a fine line between something effective but also stylish in a masculine way. Kenneth Cole has achieved both. I had been searching for a messenger bag that would be effective without being bulky, stylish yet masculine, and also at a price that wasn't ridiculous. When I opened the package, the first impression stated it all. The bag is perfect in size and dimensions. Large enough to accommodate more than you realize, yet small enough not to be a bulky leather sack you have to lug around. The leather material (and YES it is leather and not something else like another review stated) is excellent in quality as well as thickness for a leather bag. The lining is smooth and padded appropriately where needed. The clasps are solid - and not hard at all to work. These are far better than a magnet holding things together. Final verdict - this is the perfect messenger bag. Well done Kenneth Cole! And Amazon for carrying such a high-quality product!

Perfect and Great Price
I had scoured the web (dept stores, etc.) looking for a man bag for a gift. I decided to try this one since I knew Kenneth Cole products are well made. This was much better than my expectations. The leather is soft, pliable and beautiful. The workmanship is great. The person for whom I bought it loved it. Wonderful!
I bought this bag because I'm transitioning from being a grad student to being a professional, and frankly my old backpack wouldn't cut it. The old girl has served me well, but let's face it - she's only one step up from a Transformers lunch box in the professional world.PROS:First impressions are excellent. The bag is a deep, rich brown leather. It's slightly distressed, but looks professional enough for anyone who can get away with a messenger bag for work. The construction seems really good, all the seams are well done and look strong. The inner liner is a nice dark brown that matches the leather. Oh, and it smells sooooo good!It's a good size too - my ancient 15 inch Dell laptop fits comfortably inside it, though with no real room left for accessories (charger etc). A newer (i.e. thinner) 15 inch laptop would easily fit. I'm not sure about a 17 inch laptop though, so fair warning if you're lugging a larger lappy around with you...

Fantastic quality!
I just started student teaching, so I wanted something more professional than my bright blue Yamaha backpack. I found this while sifting through Amazon.com with searches like "man bag" and "satchel." I thought it was a great price considering what I had seen at places like Fossil - not to mention it was leather instead of canvas.When I got it in the mail I could not have been more impressed. It came in a nice box and even a printed back with a zipper to boot. It just got better from there! I've been using it every day for about 3 weeks now. The leather is still incredibly soft, the stitching is very strong and well done, along with the zipper and pretty much everything else. My macbook fits in there with a couple small binders, along with other random things like pencils, a calculator, index cards, etc., but there's not much room left over.One interesting thing is that mine does not have the handle on the back like the one in the picture.I highly recommend this...

Nice size, style, leather, but might not last.
This bag is gorgeous in person. It is a great size (especially for females) and the style is classic and simple. The leather was supple and buttery soft. My only issue with this bag is that the leather was thinner than expected. The inside is lined with linen but the entire bag is not leather, the divider between the two front pockets under the flap and the main compartment is the fabric lining. In addition, the leather scratches easily and seems quite thin. I ended up sending this messenger bag back because I wanted a bag that would last me for a few years and I think this one would not hold up well with daily use.

Very sturdy bag.
This is a great bag overall. It is well-made, sturdy enough for pretty heavy use. Several inner pockets/dividers for small items which is great. One of the clips sticks a bit and is a little tricky to get open in a hurry, but this only happens occasionally. Looks and works great aside from that. I'm very happy with it.

Great purse
This bag was the right size and the right style that I wanted. The faux leather does not weather or get destroyed. It comes with two different shoulder straps that are both adjustable which is awesome!!! I definitely recommend this bag, just make sure you are okay with a little bag. The length of the bottom of the purse is about 11 inches and the height of the side of the purse is about 8 inches. So yes it is a small bag but such a great one!

Excellent Purchase!
I love this bag!As another reviewer said, it is VERY small. Do NOT expect to be able to carry anything larger than a pocket-sized notebook. However, I have been able to fit everything I like to carry (a red case of index cards, several pens, hand cream, a tin of Altoids, iPod, and cell phone, laptop charge-cord) with a little extra room for any little extras. The faux-leather is nice, not too shiny or fake-looking. The bag did carry a kind of plastic smell for the first day, but it wore off very quickly. With the shoulder strap the bag sits right at my hip which is exactly what I wanted. I've already gotten plenty of complements from this little bag. If you're looking for a cute, vintage-looking bag to carry your everyday necessities, this is it!
