Love, love, love it!!!
I read the review about the smell of the bag written by another customer and was a little nervous about buying this.I received my bag and it does have a smell to it but I love everything else about the bag so much that I don't even care. It wasn't a deterrent for me at all. In fact, I love it so much, I am about to order an additional bag for my husband. The quality is superb! The size is quite large, which is what I needed, as I carry a laptop as well as several large medical textbooks. The color is rich and if you like quality leather products, this is for you.I got lots of compliments from my coworkers.

Beautifully constructed, exceptional value
I purchased this bag for my husband, but he returned it, only because it was a bit too large for his needs. However, I wanted to write a review because I was impressed with the quality--for the price. I think this bag is beautifully constructed with very good leather. The stitching is fine, the overall attention to detail is not lacking. For $240, I doubt that you will find a better deal for this style of bag.

Highly recommend for a gift!
I bought this last Christmas for my brother, and he really loves it. He has packed and re-packed it several times in traveling, and it hasn't broken apart or torn up in any way. I'm going to buy a few more of these for this Christmas. I'm thinking of getting one of these for myself for travel, because I always end up packing an awful lot of cosmetics in a suitcase!

Nice Little Travel Bag
It's a nice leather travel bag. It feels like it's built well, durable and strong. The leather is soft. And so far all the major components of the bag are working great; zippers, handle, etc. The one thing I'm not too crazy about is the design of the leather, it's all black leather (which I like), but it's a bunch of pieces of leather sown together to create the design of the bag. And it's not a deal breaker, but I would of preferred a smooth, no design bag.But for the price, you cant go wrong. I would recommend this bag

The quality is much better than expected. I bought one for myself and one for my husband prior to our Las Vegas trip Sept. 6, 2005. Outstanding Roast
I am a dark-roast coffee drinker who appreciates beans that have been roasted according to generally accepted standards (nonetheless mindful of conflicting definitions of exactly what constitutes say, French v. Italian roast, from one area to another). Apart from very well-known, and might I add expensive, whole-bean coffees sold at Amazon that I have purchased, Coffee Bean Direct Italian Roast Espresso is the first that I have purchased that is, in fact, a true Italian roast. The beans, characteristically, are almost black and are glossy with a pronounced oily surface - as they should be. I brew these beans as "regular" coffee as well as Espresso and find that, in either case, they present me the precise dark-roast flavor that I seek. I must admit that my palate, whose acuity is mollified by Balkan pipe tobacco, cannot adequately distinguish the subtle differences amongst different varieties of beans. As a consequence, my singular focus is on the precision of the roasting. Coffee...

5 whole lbs.
This is a lot of coffee for the price. Very nice flavor. It's a darker bean but not a full on dark roast to me. Coffee oils present on the beans when you open the bag. Adds taste. Not bitter at all and a real good buy that I'm happy with and will buy again.Update:On second thought I would call a this a true dark roast. What confused me was this is a good one. Darks usually are bitter to me. I always thought many producers put in additives for the dark flavor. Not one I find too pleasant usually. I've been avoiding dark roasts for a while and now found a good one. Good quality at a price that is hard to beat. Oils on the beans really flavor it up! Good smoother dark roast. 5 lbs of Quality.So two years later I'm still buying this coffee. I have ordered for other people because I have Prime and every time the comment is "That is a giant bag." and then "I told you it was five pounds when I ordered." Five pounds in person is a lot. This really is a bargain...

I just brewed up a pot in my french press after receiving the bag in the mail today and I have to say I am impressed! Like another reviewer noted, this is a true dark roast. Extremely fresh tasting, and very smooth flavor with very little acidity. I can definitely see myself ordering this again. ~$30 shipped for 5 lbs versus paying 8-10/lb at a grocery store for wildly varying quality and age...it's a no brainer.Edit: (8.10.2011) Unfortunately I have to re-visit my original review of this product. The past 2 times I've ordered I've noticed the quality reduced significantly. The beans seem somewhat stale upon arrival and there is a definite bitterness that was not present in orders 6-12 months ago. I've decided to switch to a local roaster that produces a far fresher and superior product for not much more money.

Best bag I have ever owned
As the title says, this is probably one of the best bags I have ever owned. It is sleek and stylish, but SO versatile at the same time. The bag is beautiful itself, I have received a lot of compliments on it, even from strangers in the elevator! The bag is a little stiff but still flexible enough not to be annoying. There is plenty of room inside for my laptop, cords, portable mouse, a few CDs and a couple of folders. My favorite part though is the adjustable shoulder strap. I live in the North and in the winter those nice shorter handles just dont cut it when trying to put it on your shoulder over a huge winter coat. I like the flexibility the shoulder strap offers for winter especially, because then the bag actually FITS on my shoulder and I can carry that and anything else I may have while I walk to my office building. Short straps slide off too easily and have caused me to spill my coffee more than once. And yes, I know its a little thing, but thats real life use and its pretty...

Beautiful Bag, Not as Functional
I bought the McKlein W Series Lake Forest bag in red and a laptop as a gift for my wife recently. My wife is fashionable and likes vibrant colors and high quality products. The bag does meet those requirements, but barely funcitons as a computer bag. With the protective insert, I was not able to fit a 15" wide screen laptop in the bag. Without the protective padding insert, the laptop barely fits. Once you get the laptop in, there isn't much room for anything else. A mouse, power cords, some pens, and a folder seem to stuffed in order to fit. My wife was primarily using it for school, so she also needed another bag for books and additional papers. The bag is also fairly heavy, but not so much that it's a turnoff. Just keep this in mind if you are travelling. This bag might be perfect for you if you have a small computer or iPad and don't plan to carry too many items. It most likely will not work to double as a computer bag and purse.
