Beautiful, surprisingly small bag
This is a beautiful bag, as is true with most Kenneth Cole products. It wears very comfortably over my shoulder and stays out of the way as I walk. The look is absolutely awesome. But I was shocked at the small size of the bag. There are some small inside pockets, but the pockets aren't always enough. Considering all of the electronics and accessories that we carry today, this bag may not offer all of the space you require. If you're traveling light, though, this is the bag for you.

Perfect Fit
I always use small shoulder purses because of back aches. I needed something a bit bigger because of the size of eye glass cases and my age that means carrying 2 cases. I've been thru 6 bags in the past year and this one turned out perfect. Outside pocket for phone allows easy access and the antenna has space to stick out so I can still velcro closed. More pockets than I need but the working woman that likes to carry make up would find this lovely. I carry wallet, pen, calendar and glasses. With only those items this is a lightweight purse. I can make handle longer for shoulder bag but it actually fits up on my shoulder without changing strap. Superbly made. Rick look. Sturdy. Beautiful. Not too big but big enough that when I do work I can carry lots more stuff. I love this bag! The price was great but I'd pay up to $85 for this purse even tho I'm retired on fixed income. Good utilitarian bag
I too am typically a one handbag person. I've been reluctant to part with my 4-year-old bag even though it's orange, and nylon, because its external compartments work so well for me. I saw this bag and thought I'd try an on-line purchase again - haven't been too lucky in past attempts and retail stores never seem to have what I want. I am very happy with this purchase - from the price, to the quality, to the time it took to receive it. The external compartments work very well for me (for keys, cellphone, eyeglasses and sunglasses, eye-drops and lip balm, coupons, etc.) and there's compartment space for more. There is only one inner compartment (w/zipper) but thats sufficient for me. The bag isn't too bulky, nor too deep. It isn't a fashionable bag - but its a handsome enough workhorse for everyday use. The only thing preventing me giving this a 5-star rating is that it would have been good to have a different color than black for the lining - nothing worse than trying to find...

Delightful surprise
I was delighted to find a reasonable size handbag/organizer with a shoulder strap. I had been looking everywhere for one! This handbag is well made and can be used for all occasions. I tend to use only one bag so need to have it meet all settings. The strap is somewhat old-fashioned but works fine. The organizer section could use more card space. However, I am very pleased with the handbag!

Great purse
This bag was the right size and the right style that I wanted. The faux leather does not weather or get destroyed. It comes with two different shoulder straps that are both adjustable which is awesome!!! I definitely recommend this bag, just make sure you are okay with a little bag. The length of the bottom of the purse is about 11 inches and the height of the side of the purse is about 8 inches. So yes it is a small bag but such a great one!

Excellent Purchase!
I love this bag!As another reviewer said, it is VERY small. Do NOT expect to be able to carry anything larger than a pocket-sized notebook. However, I have been able to fit everything I like to carry (a red case of index cards, several pens, hand cream, a tin of Altoids, iPod, and cell phone, laptop charge-cord) with a little extra room for any little extras. The faux-leather is nice, not too shiny or fake-looking. The bag did carry a kind of plastic smell for the first day, but it wore off very quickly. With the shoulder strap the bag sits right at my hip which is exactly what I wanted. I've already gotten plenty of complements from this little bag. If you're looking for a cute, vintage-looking bag to carry your everyday necessities, this is it!

FABULOUS PURSE!
Exactly what I was looking for! This luscious, butter-soft leather purse is half the size of the last purse that I had used and I am able to fit everything that I had carried in the bigger purse just fine! The cell phone side pocket really comes in handy and the strap is very long and I have it extended to a very comfortable fit that the purse hang about hip length, right where I like it, and still have some slack if I want the strap longer. To whomever had designed this purse, hats off to you and cheers!

Lovely purse.
This is a lovely, soft leather bag - a perfect size. It's fabric-lined - no plastic or vinyl anywhere. It has numerous zippered compartments which help keep things organized and easily accessible. Not a single complaint.

Stylish bag
I have never been fond of purses because they can not be attached to your body like a fanny pack. Fanny packs are just not hip enough and I have been looking for a purse/bag that can stay attached to me. This shoulder bag is attractive and compliments almost any attire. The strap fits comfortably over my left shoulder and the purse portion rests near my right back hip. I never take it off even when sitting down. There are a few design flaws: a small zippered pocket inside for earrings or small items would be nice, the expandable zippers are not necessary because there is plenty of room to place items without using the expansion, and there should be a zipper to make sure none of the items fall out under the flap. If you are using it to go abroad, there is no way to safety pin the outside zipper closed to prevent pick pocketers but you could place the strap on the right of your shoulder and have the purse hang in front of you instead of in back. Overall, I am very satisfied.

Nice Organizer Bag That Isn't Too Expensive
When I broke my arm I purchased this bag so I could still carry a purse when I went shopping. The light colored lining makes it easy to see things inside the bag. If you don't like searching through your bag then this one should be a good choice because it keeps everything well organized.I still use this bag when I go grocery shopping so I don't have to leave my bag in a cart while choosing items in the store. I have had the bag for more than a year, used it on a regular basis, and it still looks good. If you have problems with shoulder bags sliding off your shoulder, this crossbody bag is a good solution.It would be nice if each color selection had a matching strap instead of the black that comes on all of the bags.

I've been looking for a quality leather messenger bag for the past 6 months, and this bag fits the bill.I'm a visual person and so it was a big leap for me to buy this bag since there was only one picture of the bag. What tipped the scale for me was reading the reviews. The bag strap is long enough to accommodate a big person, and at about 1.5 inches wide it doesn't get twisted up. Inaccuracies abound in this listing (but the bag is nice)
Much has been said about the quality of this bag in other reviews, so I won't get into that. However, there's a big error with this particular listing, and potential buyers should take note. The photograph for this listing is for an entirely different bag from David King & Co. If you go to the official David King website (ussuitcase.com), and look under "messengers", you'll notice that the photograph above (which looks medium/dark brown) is for the "Distressed North/South Messenger Bag" (SKU: 6111), dimensions 12.5" x 10.5" x 4" . Good design, poor leather
While the bag is of a good design, plenty of easily accessible pockets, etc. The leather is of a very cheap quality. Given the price of the bag, $139.99 when I purchased it, I expected better. If the leather was a little better I would give it a 4 or 5.
