Fabulous bag!!!
This bag has served me well for over a year! You can fit SO MUCH in it! I did alter it a little. I've re-sewn the straps on either side of the bag instead of on the back and i removed the board from the back to suit my needs. This has been to several countries including hiking in israel with me and it has yet to fail me in some way! It is losing it's dark olive color, but after more than a year who can complain about that?! The hardware is in really good condition, still. Very stable, reliable bag. The stitching is a little uneven in some places but I still recommend it without any limitations!

It's not too small, not too big. Holds several books and notebooks comfortably as well as other items. Has a small and very useful pouch on the front with two smaller pouches on either side of the front pouch, for pens, pencils, highliters, and markers. It's also got some slots that appear to be designed exclusively for pens and pencils, but they're too small so I don't use them. The inside of the bag is divided by a flap in the middle, creating two compartments. The back of the bag has a hard back that I don't like, and the back tends to make the bag fall forward if you try to stand it upright. The strap is adjustable. I take this bag pretty much everywhere with me. If I put the books in sideways, I can also comfortably fit in my sunglasses, a lint roller (we have a dog), my girlfriends hair brush and both our cell phones. The only way it will be replaced is if I stumble upon a bag of similar material and dimensions that doesn't have a hard back. But I'm satisfied enough with the...

Great Map/Messenger Bag
I'm a guy and I needed a bag that I could use to carry some items when I going on short hikes... things like a GPS, camera, bug spray etc. I didn't want to use a backpack or even those pseudo one strap backpacks... too big, too bulky. This map case has worked out PERFECTLY. Good price, seems to be well made, I like the color and fabric, and the price was reasonable.. I would recommend.

Map Bag - Very Useful
This "Map Bag" exceeded my expectations for quality, it is very rugged, and very versatile. It can be used to carry books, I-Pad, camera, phone, etc, especially helpful for short trips. The only negative is the strap is a bit narrow and can dig into your shoulder. I found an old vinyl slip on shoulder pad, same color, and that resolved the problem. This bag should provide many years of good use. A great price as well!

awesome bag!
I just received this bag and it will be awesome for what I bought it for!I have an iPad with a smart cover and a coordinating back cover on it. When I travel, I slip the whole thing in a zippered hard-shell cover for a little more protection. What I lacked was a safe way to carry this. My iPad (with the hard-shell zip cover fits perfectly in this bag. I have room for my kindle (in a cover), my iPhone, and Ipod if I wanted to take it plus a few other smaller items.I am a female and it is not "girly" but then again, I was looking for function and not "girly."Now I just need a trip!

Great bag for a man to carry his Kindle in
I'll admit, I bought this specifically to serve as my "man purse."After having my Kindle for a couple of months I realized that I often wished I had a small day-bag to carry the Kindle in when going about my daily business. Although I do have a large messenger bag, I usually only use that on occasions when I need to leave my house carrying my laptop with me; using it to only carry the Kindle, without my laptop, seemed like overkill.So I searched and searched online and finally came across this bag. It's wonderful. Not only does my Kindle (in its Marware cover) fit snugly inside it, but the bag has so many pockets and slots that I'm able to carry a bunch of other stuff with me as well. (No wonder women love purses!) Moreover, its design, with its olive-green, military surplus look means that it is not at all feminine. A guy can carry this slung bandoleer-style across his chest without it looking "weird."It's made of durable canvas and so I suspect...

If only your credit cards weren't exposed...
This is a nifty little bag for an amazingly small amount of money. But there's one major design flaw. The bag has one enclosed compartment and another compartment that is created by closing a velcro strap that closes the front flap to the main body of the bag. The inside flap and outside of the main compartment contain most of the organizing compartments, including the ones for your credit cards. When you close the flap and affix the velcro strap there's a large gap that leaves your credit cards exposed.

This Bag Rocks!
I have had briefcases, bakcpacks, messenger bags and sling bags. This bag kicks the crap out of all of them. It has sewn in pockets for more than 10 pens/pencils. Pockets on the side for tape measure (I keep my iPod charger and cord there) and cell phone and pockets in the back flap for more tools and pens. I can carry a couple of notebooks, magazines, a book and it will still fit a full-sized laptop. Recently, I took a trip and all of my gadgets and travel documents were very easy to reach and put away. I would not trade this for anything else!

Great Bag
I am enjoying the bag quite a bit. It was larger that I was expecting, but not too large. (Review the dimensions again, trust me) It is quite sturdy and will stand up on its own--which is handy. I've had other bags in the past that look great but aren't very sturdy and that becomes inconvenient. The bag has been a hit with my guy friends as well and 2 of them have ordered it for themselves. It has lots of space for pens, pencils, keys, cell phone, files, etc. I don't see myself changing from it soon.
