Does what you'd expect
I got this for my HTC Droid Thunderbolt and it works fine.It grips the device at the corners, so no buttons are pressed. There is room to plug in both the headphones (for auxiliary out to the car stereo) and the USB plug (for power).It rotates so it will hold the phone both vertically or horizontally.The base is similar to one I got for my Garmin a long time ago -- basically a rubber bottomed, sand(?) filled set of weights.Connecting the device to the base you'll have two options: a short neck that basically puts it on the base and a long neck that can hold it up/out further from the base.Depending on your dashboard this design might not be convenient. I have a large, flat dashboard so there was plenty of space and it doesn't slide around at all.The actual part that holds the phone is a bit tricky. It's holding the phone by the 4 corners with foam-rubber pads. It's not great and can require a bit of fiddling...

Nice Unit
Nice product. Have had it for a couple of weeks and it does fine with my htc thunderbolt. It is perfect as a universal dash mount. Very adjustable for the power input, volume control, etc. Would definitely recommend this product.
