A little disappointed, smaller than they look in photo
I ordered 2(dozen) of this item for my daughter's birthday party for treat bags. I was expecting larger totes because of the dimensions 8 1/2 x 11 given and the zoom used in the photo. I did not realize that included the length/drop of the handle. I was expecting "book bag" size that could fit coloring books. Also, The colors are not quite as vibrant as the stock photo. My daughter saw them and liked them, but if the party was not so soon, I would have returned them and looked for something else. They are definitely more like little purses. At least they are better than plastic disposable bags, and they happened to be on sale when I ordered them or I really would have been upset. I also did not realize these were from Oriental Trading. I have ordered other items directly from them and been disappointed in the past. Ratings as Fun or Educational don't really apply here, since they should be under a party supply category rather than a toy category.

Well-Liked Party Favor Bag
We purchased these for a birthday party as favor bags, which are also great party favors in and of themselves. The colors are rich and vibrant, and I was suprised at how well made and sturdy these are for the price point. And, these are things that will actually get used after the party's over and do wear well after much use. Not only are these great for a child's birthday party, but also a pre-teen's or teen's party. Or for some really free-spirited lighthearted women, this would be a fun little thing to stash in some cosmetic samples, or fragrance samples, and so on. While they are not big, (8 1/2 by 8 1/2 inches), they make a fun impact and can be good to keep sunglasses, a (smaller) paperback and a water bottle in within a larger beach tote. These were a hit at our party and these certainly beat out paper or plastic goodie bags for fun factor and usefulness any day!

My favorite bag ever
I received this item very quickly which I would expect for the shipping expense. It did not appear to look as good in the picture as it does in my hands. It is actually more grey than the brown tone it appeared to be but who knows that may be the screen I am looking at. Overall I am very pleased. The tie closure actually seems to contain things well given a certain diligence to manage the bag carefully when tossing it around a crazy lifesyle. Sling is nice and long so it rides comfortably. It is very soft and I have already received many compliments on it. I highly recommend it for someone looking for a stylish bag that is comfortable and bears a harmonious message.

I LOVE, LOVE, LOVE this purse. I took a risk buying a purse online. I usually like to inspect the inner pockets and see if all looks big enough to hold what I need. Wonderful messenger bag!
My daughter wanted this so much she actually paid for it herself (she's 9). She spent hours coloring it, and now uses it every day for school rather than her back pack. She's quite proud of her coloring job and loves that bag! It seems to be pretty durable, which is a good thing for a 9 year old! So far the colors haven't run in the snow or rain either!
