Great purse
This bag was the right size and the right style that I wanted. The faux leather does not weather or get destroyed. It comes with two different shoulder straps that are both adjustable which is awesome!!! I definitely recommend this bag, just make sure you are okay with a little bag. The length of the bottom of the purse is about 11 inches and the height of the side of the purse is about 8 inches. So yes it is a small bag but such a great one!

Excellent Purchase!
I love this bag!As another reviewer said, it is VERY small. Do NOT expect to be able to carry anything larger than a pocket-sized notebook. However, I have been able to fit everything I like to carry (a red case of index cards, several pens, hand cream, a tin of Altoids, iPod, and cell phone, laptop charge-cord) with a little extra room for any little extras. The faux-leather is nice, not too shiny or fake-looking. The bag did carry a kind of plastic smell for the first day, but it wore off very quickly. With the shoulder strap the bag sits right at my hip which is exactly what I wanted. I've already gotten plenty of complements from this little bag. If you're looking for a cute, vintage-looking bag to carry your everyday necessities, this is it!

Love this bag
I bought this bag online just hoping to have a cute bag to carry my laptop around with me. What I didn't realize just how much space was actually in the bag. There are tons of pockets. I can use it to carry around my laptop and everything I need when I stay the night places. It's durable and can hold a lot of things. I'm very pleased with this purchase. I'm pleased with this product. The quality is as described. This bag is roomy and I especially like the zipper. Excellent price for genuine leather and shipping was quick, too. The bad thing is that the leather strap snapped after two weeks of use and is not easily reparable.

Top Grade American Product
This is a multi-use bag with rugged good looks that reeks of quality. The top grade oil tanned leather is obvious, as opposed to any imitation leather product I've seen. As previous rater noted, there aren't many compartments (3 main compartments), but in some cases that allows more versatility. The handle is comfortable, and genuine leather which makes for a nice feel, compared to cheaper bags with vinyl handles (eeew!). Stitching and the mostly solid brass hardware is heavy duty. The leather looks distinctive and this bag is designed to look better with age (unlike me). Because it is such high quality, this bag may feel a bit heavy if you're used to lightweight nylon bags, so look elsewhere if that would bother you. My wife uses it for her nursing gear for work, but it could just as well be handed down to my daughter for her college carry-all, and then as an heirloom to an architect, a carpenter, a sales rep, sports enthusiast, etc. By the time you sell it in a yard sale of the...

The Ultimate Leather Bag
The bag is the true leather lover's dream. Leather lovers Stop Here! I've been searching for years and finally the bag (dream) come true. To all the other 5 star reviews I say "ditto." I can't believe it only cost $200 bucks. The bag could easily sell for twice as much. It's heavy duty all around leather that gains that aged textured look and bigger and holds more than it shows in the picture. A 15'' laptop fits with a breeze and a 17'' incher probably fits too. They say seeing is believing well once you open the package an pull the bag out than you'll believe what I am tryng to say.

Exceeded expectations
I had very clear desires. A leather laptop bag in a saddle or buckskin color that was solidly constructed, masculine, and would last forever. I'm very satisfied with the Alpine Mailbag from the Brown Bag Company. When I saw they make those great leather tool bags, I was hoping they brought the same craftsmanship to this briefcase/laptop bag. They did! This thing is heavy duty leather with rivets, buckles and a very nice clasp. The handle carries it well regardless if the clasp is engaged or note. No cloth, nylon carrying strap or anything to fray and rip; just high quality leather throughoutThe only thing keeping it from 5-star rating is the interior finish-out. The divider separates the laptop from my other stuff, but there really aren't internal pockets, which would be helpful. Just a business card slot and 2 pen loops. Best Leather conditioner available..
I have been a leather craftsman since 1955. I found Leather Honey in the 60's, but it disappeared for a while. It is really great to see it back on the market. I make leather goods and use Leather Honey to help preserve the leather and restore suppleness. It works great.When using tooling leather, the dry leather is first moistened with water, carved and tooled. Then the finish is applied. The finish must penetrate the leather and preserve it. Leather Honey does this better than any other finish that I have used. The suppleness that was removed in the tanning process is restored, the leather is protected from drying and cracking and a beautiful, durable lasting finish is obtained. I can personally highly recommend this product for leather belts, gloves, upholstery, saddlery and tack, motorcycle gear and leather goods of all kinds. ...

AMAZING!
I live in the desert and my very expensive leather couch has really taken a beating with the lack of moisture in the air. I have used no less than 10 other products to condition my cracking sofa. They all seem to work for a day or two and then the dryness and cracking return. I purchased this product and followed the simple instructions and I am amazed! My couch looks fantastic- it is still worn (as a 15 year old couch should be) but the rough, brittle feeling to the leather is gone. Insanely good stuff
I'm the type of person that "when in doubt", leave it alone. I have a leather couch and recliner that were nice, but about four years old. Started to look dingy with some deep lines forming. Didn't know what to do... didn't want to make it worse so I left it alone. Then I came online and tried leather honey. It's amazing. Used less than half the bottle (I used alot) and the leather just loves the stuff. I saddle soaped it first, then let it dry. Leather honey is not a cleaner, but a conditioner.Get a soft cloth. It's a little hard at first, because the leather honey is thick. Once the rag gets saturated it goes on real easy.Now I remember the luster and shine it had when new. Only now its even better because its broken in. I always wondered how to take care of leather. Now I know.I will use this on everything leather from now on, boots, coats, baseball gloves. This is one of those products that is so good, you feel like pulling out...

Excellent bag but a warning
An excellent bag with one caveat. The bag is labeled as 15.4 inch, but it does not specify explicitly what size computer it will hold. The documentation included with the bag gives the dimensions of the computer compartment as 12 x 14 x 2. I recently acquired a 15 inch laptop. Its dimensions are 15 x 10. It barely fits. A 15 x 11 laptop wouldn't. If your computer will fit into it, I agree with the other reviews for the bag. It has good quality and is designed to conveniently hold a large number of accessories and other things. If the bag fits you'll love it. If it doesn't, you'll have to return it.

Best one out there
I bought this bag several months ago because I was flying a lot for work. Even some of the airport security folks have commented on how nice it is. I use it now exclusively instead of a briefcase or other laptop case for work. It shows absolutely no wear and will probably get even better looking with age. If something ever happens to this one I'll buy a new one immediately.

Highly Recommended
As a professional, I have always preferred a backpack over a briefcase or shoulder bag because a backpack is easier to carry a greater weight. My problem was that I have always been very embarrassed carrying around a canvas bag with business clothes. This leather backpack looks nice enough that I can get away with it. It is very well made, very sturdy, and stands up by itself. It has a great, roomy laptop computer compartment and enough other compartments to separate items without being overly complicated. Very easy to access whatever you want. My only complaint (very minor) is that I wish the interior was some other color besides tourquise (dark green would have been better). Other than that, a perfect, great looking, well made backpack and highly recommended.
