IF YOU COLLECT WHITING AND DAVIS FROM EARLY YEARS UNTIL NOW YOU WILL BE AMAZED AT THE HISTORY IN THE BOOK. I LIKED THE FACT THAT IT GAVE YOU INFORMATION ABOUT EACH ERA, OWNER AND HOW IT WAS CHANGED. IT IS LIKE STROLLING THROUGH TIME. IT DOES SHOW YOU WHAT THE VALUE IS FOR A PURSE IN GOOD CONDITION AND MINT. THE ONLY THING I WISH IS THAT IT LISTED PLACES THAT WOULD REPAIR THE PURSES OR SHOW PLACES YOU COULD ORDER PARTS.IT IS GOOD FOR COLLECTING ANG SELLING IF YOU NEED AN IDEA OF HOW MUCH TO ASK OR OFFER.

GREAT BOOK but Amazon copy all scuffed up
This is a great totally illustrated book with many Whiting Davis and Mandalian purses that I have seen on Ebay and the net represented with prices and excellent photos. Gives the history of these companies and the various styles of bags (plus clothing, gloves belts, etc) that Whiting Davis produced.On another note, the copy of this "new" book that I received from Amazon had the dustjacket all scuffed and scratched up. Independent sellers on Ebay usually note that information on their listings but not apparently Amazon doesn't think it worth mentioning. If I were rating Amazon and not the book I'd leave about a 3.

Best little evening purse
I selected this evening purse for my son's wedding. I read other reviews before I decided on this style and everything that was said, from it being very classy and elegant were correct. I am very petit and the size & style were perfect with my dress. I just loved it and was able to carry my small camera and tears of joy hanky in it.

This is a really cute little bag. I wish it was made a little bit bigger so it could hold more of my treasures (stuff). It's well made (typical of this brand)beautiful, stylish, classy, classic that can be dressed up or down. It's perfect as an evening / special occasion bag where you don't carry the usual kitchen sink like you do with your day-to-day bag. It's about the size of a paperback book. Nonetheless, I love it and I think it would make an awesome gift. If there were other color choices, I would buy those too. But I'm a bagaholic.

The Whiting and Davis Company, located in Plainville, Massachusetts is the oldest purse company in the US and is responsible for a great variety of exceptional mesh purses as well as other accessories. By the 1920′s mesh bags were offered in a large spectrum of colors and fashionable designs, including enameled, fine meshed called Dresden.

Whiting and Davis started in 1876 as Wade, Davis and Company as a jewelry manufacturer. Whiting was quoted saying, “It was no unusual sight in the summer to ride through the country and see groups of women sitting under the trees in their yards making purses just as you would see them spending an afternoon sewing.

Cannot really define my style, I'm not going crazy over trends but rather incorporate something new still keeping my personal style. Also, bought myself my first pair of studs today which have 3 stones (a small pearl, a small amethyst, and some pink crystal) on it which I thought was very unique (and reminded me of your elegance). I like classy and chic looking pieces, I often go for casual rocker chic style as well. I love mixed and matched, I also like the rock chick style. Because of you I found so many brands, jewelry, accessories and just overall things that I've been loving. I check your blog daily because we have similar taste, plus sometimes your outfits make me dream and i love your opinions on anything really. I combined it with the thicker rose gold chain because it feels more like jewelery and holds the plating better.
